Orientation Trip 2016!

It's that time of year again, time for the infamous AURAC O-Trip

The Orientation trip is on the weekend of 11th (6pm) - 13th of March at Froggatt Edge. It is a great opportunity for people new to climbing to get a taste of outdoor rock.

Top ropes will be set on a variety of climbs suitable for people of all levels. Even if you have never climbed before you are welcome on this trip. There will be plenty of experienced climbers around to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend.

The O-Trip is always a heap of fun, so get in quick as places are limited. This year we are capping the numbers at 80 people.

To secure a spot on the trip, you will need to

1. Join Aurac for 2016. To join click here

2. Sign-up online here Sign-up closed!

3. Pay $30 for the trip. Your spot will only be secured after we received your payment. First come first serve.

This covers petrol, Saturday's dinner and a small donation to the Froggatt bolting fund.
To pay, you can deposit $30 into 01-0113-0004040-00, remember to leave the name you used on sign-up form.

Visit us at our O-week stall in the University Quad (Feb 29 - Mar 4), or come along to one of the club nights at       the University Rec Centre on Wednesdays (free entry for club members).

Last day to sign-up and pay will be on Tuesday, Mar 8. Confirmation email will be sent out on Wednesday, Mar 9.

People who are willing to drive a car load of people will be reimbursed for petrol costs. We are also looking for people who can bring tents. No climbing gear is required, although you are welcome to bring your own gear if you want.

The plan is to meet at Quad at 6pm on Friday, Mar 11, drive down that night. Saturday and Sunday will be climbing at Froggatt and return to Auckland on Sunday evening. We will be camping on both nights. Dinner will be provided on Saturday night, and if previous O-Trips are anything to go by Saturday will be quite an epic night...

Any questions feel free to e-mail me at safety@aurac.org.nz

Otherwise get in quick, sign up, and come have a great weekend (best trip of the year)

See you there!
